Resistant Weeds? Pulverize the Seeds

Herbicide-resistant weeds have been invading farmland across the U.S. in recent years, most notably palmer amaranth in the South and Midwest. This superweed is a result of herbicide overuse, which drives resistance because some weeds inevitably have genetic characteristics that thwart the chemicals; the plants then produce similarly robust offspring. But Australia has been dealing with herbicide-resistance for far longer, and a farmer there has built a machine that that could help curb superweeds.
