By: U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Bureau of Land Management, and Center of Excellence for Hazardous Materials Management
This Candidate Conservation Agreement (CCA) is a voluntary agreement to facilitate cooperation of the oil and gas industry, livestock producers, and other interested stakeholders in providing conservation benefits to the LPC and SDL. When implemented, it provides guidance for the conservation and management of these species and funding for conservation in high priority areas. Unlike a CCAA, a CCA does not provide concrete assurances, but does give participants a high degree of assurances they will not face additional regulation under the Endangered Species Act.
