Mission
Through land protection, stewardship and education, the Central Indiana Land Trust Incorporated preserves natural habitat, improving air and water quality and enhancing life in our communities for present and future generations.

The Central Indiana Land Trust pursues its mission by assessing, acquiring and protecting properties that represent the best of Indiana’s natural and working landscapes. In collaboration with willing landowners, we protect those lands that help to define Indiana.

The land trust focuses on three basic activities:

  • protecting lands,
  • collaborating with the community and
  • caring for the land.
 We serve a 10-county area consisting of: Marion, Hamilton, Hancock, Shelby, Johnson, Morgan, Hendricks, Boone, Putnam and Parke counties.
