Central Sacramento Valley RC&D Council
Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Councils work to promote and protect economic, natural, and social resources at the local and regional level. They bring together people, needs, concerns, opportunities, and solutions. Originally the Councils were part of a USDA program established by the Agricultural Act of 1962 to provide programs that empower rural people to make their communities a better place to live.

The two areas that our Council excells in are championing Agricultural/Nature/Heritage and Cultural Tourism and Biomass Utilization. Our leading edge products, such as our Regional Ag. Tourism Map and Alternative Enterprise Training for Ag Business Expansion have received great reviews. Our work in the area of biomass, particularly evolving technlogies, has received much attention. You will find our biomasstechnologies.org site quite informative.
