Cheboygan Conservation District

 The Cheboygan Conservation District is a local unit of government geared at the protection of our natural resources. Along with our technical staff we also provide several services to the people of Cheboygan County. Some of the services are listed below:

Conservation Books
We have a very nice selection of books on hand in the office. Home Landscaping, Landscaping for Wildlife, Michigan Wildflowers in Color, Wild About Birds and Woodworking for Wildlife just to name a few. We also have books for children and young adults called the take Along Guides. Frogs, Toads and Turtles; Berries, Nuts and Seeds; Trees, Leaves and Bark and Wildflowers, Blooms and Blossoms. These make great gifts for nature lovers.

Plat Books
The latest Cheboygan County plat books are available at the local MSUE (Michigan State University Extension) office for you to purchase.

Soil Survey Information
The district has a completed soil survey for the county of Cheboygan. The district will be able to help you with the soil information that you are looking for. Feel free to contact us with any soils questions that you may have.

Topographical Maps
You may purchase topographical maps for Cheboygan County in our office. The maps show contour lines and symbols that represent such features as streets, buildings, streams, swamps and woods. .
