Chris Adams

Chris joined Bird Forestry in September 2002 and currently serves as the Forestry Operations Manager. He is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Forest Management in 1999.

Upon graduation, Chris began his professional career in Conroe, Texas, working as a field forester with a private forestry consulting firm. He later worked with the Texas Cooperative Extension Service at the Overton Agricultural Research Station, where he collaborated with private landowners, forest industry personnel, and professional foresters as the lead in establishing educational forestry programs at both the state and national level.

Through his professional experiences, both during and prior to joining Bird Forestry, Chris has gained extensive knowledge in numerous aspects of natural resource management for both the private and public sectors. His current position consists of overseeing the management of approximately 150,000 acres of private forestland throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

Specialties include the planning and implementation of large-scale natural resource inventories for private, state, and federal entities and working closely with forest landowners to develop detailed forest management, harvesting, and reforestation plans and silvicultural prescriptions.

Chris is a member of the Association of Consulting Foresters, where he has served as Vice-Chair (Texas Chapter); the Texas Forestry Association, where he serves as volunteer Tree Farm Inspector for the American Tree Farm Association; and he is a Technical Service Provider.
