Donald Fant, AIA LEED AP
Don is a Registered Architect and LEED Accredited Professional with over 30 years of experience in architecture, engineering and construction. Prior to joining Woodward Design+Build, he was a Principal in Performance Architecture, where he was involved with projects throughout the southeastern United States and Puerto Rico. Before that he held senior design and management roles in other local architecture firms.

Don’s experience includes cultural and performing arts facilities, educational institutions, sustainable design, ecclesiastic buildings, corporate interiors, industrial projects, residential properties and a myriad of other commercial construction, including design/build work. He has led or participated in the renovation and construction of projects up to $70,000,000, under a variety of challenging requirements and situations. Don’s practice is built on listening to clients and meeting their needs through a collaborative team-based approach, drawing on resources both inside and outside the organization as appropriate.

At Woodward, Don oversees Woodward Design Group as well as overall communications and work flow with Woodward Engineering Group. In addition, he also serves on Woodward’s Building Information Modeling/Virtual Design and Construction Executive Steering Committee charged with continuous improvement to its Virtual Design and Construction process.

Don earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Louisiana State University in 1982 and then furthered his business acumen through graduate courses at the University of New Orleans. He is a member of the New Orleans Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and has served on the Board of Trustees for St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in New Orleans.
