Georgia Land Conservation Center

The Georgia Land Conservation Center promotes the conservation of open land for the benefit of present and future generations. Our services include:

  • Provide funds for the permanent preservation of wetlands and streams
  • Promote public policies that provide incentives for voluntary private land conservation
  • Educate landowners and other key partners about land conservation options and how to use them
  • Support the sustainable use and stewardship of land
  • Serve as a resource to people who want to know more about land conservation

Our constituencies include both land and people. Land that provides conservation values, and people who need clean and abundant drinking water, fresh locally-grown produce, places for solace and to hunt and fish and enjoy the outdoors, and natural parks where children can play and learn to appreciate the wonders of nature.
