Gregory A. Vallin
Greg represents national, regional and local clients in real estate development, acquisitions and dispositions, leasing and financing. 
Greg has represented Lennar, the country's largest homebuilder, in acquiring and developing large tracts of land into golf club communities and premier residential communities throughout Colorado. He has represented Corporate Express, one of the largest office supply distribution companies in the United States, with the acquisition and leasing of thousands of square feet of warehouse and flexible office/warehouse space. Greg has represented the largest Apartment Real Estate Investment Trust in the country with the acquisition and disposition of large apartment projects located throughout the United States. In addition, He represents a Denver-based Real Estate Investment Trust in the negotiation, acquisition and disposition of commercial buildings and shopping centers throughout the United State. 
Greg's experience includes representing many national retail restaurant chains with the acquisition, development, leasing and financing of restaurant sites throughout the country, including Boston Market, Einstein Brothers' Bagels, Qdoba, Noodles & Company, the Keg, and Houlihans Restaurant Company. He has also represented various shopping center developers with all aspects of financing, developing and leasing retail centers. 
Greg's interest in preserving Colorado's most beautiful places has led him to be active in the land conservation community. He was the president of the Mountain Area Land Trust for seven years, and has represented land trusts and landowners in transactions involving the preservation of unique and scenic property through the use of conservation easements and other land preservation techniques. Greg negotiated and prepared the largest donated conservation easement in Colorado history. He is also actively involved in the conservation community as a director of the Colorado Coalition of Land Trusts, a statewide umbrella organization for land trusts and government open space programs. 
As a member of the firm's Renewable Energy Practice Group, Greg is an active speaker on wind energy. In the last year he has given CLE presentations on wind farms to the Colorado Bar Association, NAIOP, the South Metro Chamber of Commerce and Colorado Corporate Counsel. He has also twice taught the Wind Law class at University of Denver, and has represented a wind developer in North Dakota. 
Previously, Greg served as in-house real estate counsel for Boston Chicken, and as the director of real estate legal services for Einstein/Noah Bagel Corp. His work helped both companies accomplish their goals of being the fastest growing restaurant chains in the country. These experiences, plus his accomplishments at Brownstein, help Greg bring a unique blend of practical business and technical real estate skills to his legal practice.
