Guardians of the Range

The mission of the Guardians of the Range is to promote sound science and community partnerships in public land grazing management.

The Guardians is a non-profit public lands grazing organization founded in 2003 currently focusing its efforts in northwest Wyoming. The group works to assist public land ranchers, communities and public land managers to fairly and responsibly implement rangeland stewardship in the balanced interests of the public resources, and the affected economies in the region.

The Guardians have pioneered a unique approach to fulfill its mission. Its approach is two-fold, (1) land based and (2) policy/community outreached based. Land based efforts are directed via a Resource Committee while policy/community outreach efforts are guided by an Advisory Committee.
