Heather M. Minner

Heather Minner joined Shute, Mihaly & Weinberger LLP in 2008 and is an associate at the firm. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Garland E. Burrell Jr. of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. Ms. Minner received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and earned a certificate in environmental law. Ms. Minner holds a M.A. in urban planning from UCLA where she focused her studies on sustainable development and environmental policy.

While at Berkeley Law, Ms. Minner served as an articles editor for Ecology Law Quarterly, and worked as a summer law clerk at Shute, Mihaly & Weinberger and as a summer fellow at the California Attorney General’s Office, Environmental Law Section.
Ms. Minner worked at the California State Resources Agency in the Office of the Secretary from 2001 to 2004 where she helped develop a statewide program for identifying natural resource conservation priorities. She was appointed by the Secretary of Resources to serve on the boards of the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy and the Rivers and Mountains Conservancy.
