Area Regulations:
  • Hunting and camping are not allowed
  • Highway 12 through Suisun City. Turn south onto Grizzly Island Road, which is approximately 3 miles west of the Highway 12 junction with Interstate 80.
  • The wildlife area spans both sides of Grizzly Island Road from Highway 12 south for about 2 miles.
  • 1,723 acres of salt tidal marsh, managed marshes, sloughs and upland grassland. The area supports a wide variety of waterfowl, including pintail, mallard, shoveler, green-winged teal, and wigeon. Raptors such as northern harriers, white-tailed kites, kestrels, and red-tailed hawks can be seen hunting the grasslands. Mammals including raccoons, jackrabbits, and voles make their homes here and may provide a meal for the coyotes that hunt and live in the wildlife area.
