Goals and Purposes

  • Promote the health and vitality of inland Mendocino forests, oak woodlands, grasslands, watersheds, and wetlands, with their riparian and wildlife habitats.

  • Protect the viability of our agricultural lands

  • Promote a variety of flexible and creative conservation methods for landowners.

  • Protect the biological diversity of Mendocino County
Our Program

Assist landowners in identifying the tools best suited to achieve their voluntary conservation and stewardship goals. Accept donations of land and conservation easements. Monitor protected land. Offer educational opportunities. Conservation easements, good forever, are held by the Land Trust, which has the responsibility of insuring that the restrictions are honored.
