Jeffrey J. Kahn

Mr. Kahn specializes in water related matters, including litigation, water quality and transactions, and assists clients in solving complex water supply issues. He has worked in these areas for over thirty years. His clients include municipal water providers, special districts, water conservancy districts, ditch and reservoir companies, and developers.

While at the firm, Mr. Kahn has done work for the State of Colorado in drafting and assisting in the promulgation of the nontributary ground water rules, represented the St. Vrain & Left Hand Water Conservancy District and other clients in the trial of the United States Forest Service claims for reserved instream flows in the South Platte River basin, and represented several local governments resisting the claims for export of water made from Park County.

While at the Colorado Attorney General’s office, Mr. Kahn specialized in water rights matters.

He is a past director and current member of the Natural Resources Section of the Boulder County Bar Association, and a member of the Water Section of the Colorado Bar Association.

Mr. Kahn currently serves as a director of the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless, and is a member of the Boulder County Campaign Committee for the Legal Aid Foundation of Colorado. Also a member of the Boulder County Bar Foundation, Mr. Kahn served as a director of that organization.
