Land Conservancy of Lake County
The LAND CONSERVANCY OF LAKE COUNTY (LCLC) was founded in 1989 by a group of
environmental professionals and concerned citizens. LCLC is a not-for-profit, apolitical, Illinois
land trust corporation whose primary purpose is the protection and management of natural and
open lands, particularly in the Lake County region.

The Land Conservancy of Lake County (LCLC) strives for the preservation, conservation, and
management of open lands, natural areas, and ecosystems through full or partial interest in real
property; and for increased student and citizen awareness and appreciation of the natural
environment through public education and stewardship.
