Licking County Soil & Water Conservation Districtupdated: May 2016

Mission:  To promote conservation of natural resources through local leadership, education and technical assistance.

The Licking County SWCD Board meets on the 1st Monday of each month at the Agricultural Service Center, 771 East Main Street, Newark. The meetings start at 7:00 p.m. December - February and at 8:00 p.m. March – November. The public is welcome.

What We Do
Providing assistance to the agriculture community with Best Management Practices (BMP’s) to sustain the county’s land resources and protect the county’s water resources.

Providing information to homeowners / landowners to enjoy and wisely utilize their land and to protect the County's water resources.

Licking Soil and Water Conservation District Strives to assist contractors and consultants with technical information to protect the County's water resources.

Tree seedlings offered FREE to teachers, students, and non-profit organizations
