Matt Taylor

Matt Taylor is responsible for managing AFM’s wildlife management program in the Gulf region of the US including over 300,000 acres in Texas and Arkansas. His experience includes over 14 years of experience working as a forester and wildlife biologist, for municipal agencies and private industry. Prior to joining AFM, Matt was the Parks Superintendent and Parks Supervisor for the Community Associations of The Woodlands, Texas (CATW). Matt began his career as a Wildlife Biologist for Eason Lake Hunting Club in Hudson, Texas and a Forest/Wildlife Technician for Temple Inland Forest Products Corporation at Boggy Slough Wildlife Management Area in Apple Springs, Texas. His duties included collection of wildlife and botanical data, collection of radio telemetry data for Eastern Wild Turkey study, collection of remote camera data for Whitetail deer study, aging of various wildlife, management of supplemental feeding and food plots for deer, turkey and quail, and Endangered Species Management for Red Cockaded Woodpeckers.

Matt has a Bachelor of Science in Forest Wildlife Management from Stephen F. Austin University and is an Associate Wildlife Biologist and member of The Wildlife Society, is currently on the board of the National Wild Turkey Federation, Pineywoods Chapter and in the East Texas Black Bear Task Force.
