North Haven Land Trust

The North Haven Land Trust is a non-profit corporation dedicated to acquiring and preserving open space in our town. The NHLT accepts donations of land, conservation easements or money to purchase land.

By acquiring and holding open space, the Land Trust helps preserve the historic and natural beauty of our town. This makes North Haven a more attractive place in which to live and can add to the value of your property, The Trust is not anti-growth but, in a time of rapid commercial and residential development, it does believe that some land must be set aside, in perpetuity, to enable the town to breathe. It does not landscape or improve its properties, but preserves them in their natural state as a refuge for wildlife and a place for birdwatching, hiking and other forms of passive recreation.
