Oklahoma Grassland Reserve Program (GRP)updated: May 2014

**Discontinued, Apply to Agricultural Conservation Easement Program**

The Grassland Reserve Program (GRP) was a voluntary program offering landowners the opportunity to protect, restore, and enhance grasslands on their property.  The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Farm Service Agency (FSA) coordinated implementation of GRP, which helped landowners restore and protect grassland, rangeland, pastureland, shrubland and certain other lands and provide assistance for rehabilitating grasslands. The program will conserve vulnerable grasslands from conversion to cropland or other uses and conserve valuable grasslands by helping maintain viable ranching operations.

GRP was discontinued in the 2014 Farm Bill, but interested applicants may now apply for grassland funding through the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP) instead.
