Ostrom - Sain

Ostrom/Sain is a premier probate boutique in Houston Texas, specializing in pre- and post-death legal issues. The lawyers at Ostrom/Sain have dedicated their careers to probate and fiduciary matters, and are able to provide personal assistance that is tailored to a clients needs at any point along the path. When possible, we start by assisting a client in controlling the disposition of his or her assets at death by developing a comprehensive estate plan and preparing the documents needed to effectuate that plan. At the same time, we review the client's need for a durable power of attorney, medical power of attorney, and a directive to physicians. If these additional documents will benefit the client we prepare them as well. Following a loved one's death, we can assist family members in seeing that appropriate steps are taken to ensure that the decedent's wishes are carried out. This involves the probate of the decedent's will, if one exists, or the opening of an administration if the decedent died without a will or a will cannot be located. After an estate has been opened, we then make sure that the appropriate person manages the estate, and does so in compliance with the laws of the State of Texas. Unfortunately not every estate can be settled and distributed without the arising of a dispute regarding the proper disposition of estate property. The attorneys at Ostrom/Sain frequently represent people involved in litigation regarding the proper disposition of a decedent's estate. As with many legal proceedings attempts are made to resolve these disputes before a trial is necessary. At trial, however, the attorneys at Ostrom/Sain will zealously represent our client's position.
