Peggy L. McGehee
Peggy McGehee handles land use and environmental permitting, litigates boundary and easement disputes, and negotiates real estate contracts. Her clients include energy companies, utility and manufacturing companies, citizen associations, developers, individual applicants, hotels and motels, and educational institutions. Ms. McGehee is a shareholder and director of Perkins Thompson.

Ms. McGehee is co-author with Superior Court Justice Andrew Marcus Horton, of Maine Civil Remedies, 5th Edition (Tower Publishing 2006), and has presented seminars on zoning and land use permitting.

In addition, Ms. McGehee has developed and updated a range of state and municipal forms for the benefit of municipalities and other practitioners. Ms. McGehee is a member of the Cumberland County and Maine State Bar Associations. Prior to joining the firm, she was a law clerk to the Hon. Edward T. Gignoux, Chief Justice, U.S.D.C., D. Maine.

Ms. McGehee has served as President of the Maine Bar Foundation Board of Directors; a Member of the Board of Visitors for the University of Maine School of Law and as Co-Chair of its Planning Committee; a Co-Chair Judicial Non-Adversarial Forum Sub-Committee; and Barrister, Gignoux Inn of Court. She is a Fellow of the Maine Bar Foundation.

Ms. McGehee is a past Member of the Falmouth Charter Commission (2008); the Falmouth/MSAD #51 School Consolidation Committee on behalf of the Town of Falmouth (2007); past Member, Falmouth Town Council 2001-2004; past Member, Falmouth School Board; past Chair, Falmouth Diversity in Housing Committee and Ordinance Committees; Organizer: 2002 Regional Property Tax Relief Forum; past Member, Board of Directors of Maine Council of Churches; past President and Investment Trustee Chair, Woodfords Congregational Church in Portland; past Trustee and Member of Advisory Board, MaineWatch; past Member of Board of Directors of Breakwater School; past-Chair, Maine World Affairs Council Board of Directors; and Incorporator, Greater Portland Habitat for Humanity.
