About Plumb Creek in Arkansas

As one of Arkansas’ largest private landowners with forestland? in 23 counties, Plum Creek entered Arkansas in 1996 after an acquisition from Riverwood. While timber is our core business, we also manage some of the lands conservation, recreation, natural resources and community development.

We are also the largest private supplier to the state’s forest products industry, which proudly employs thousands of Arkansas residents and accounts for more than 40 manufacturing facilities statewide.

We work in partnership with local and state governments to ensure we meet or exceed all forestry rules, regulations and environmental laws.

Our company was the first in the nation to have all our timberlands third-party certified to meet the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® Standard. 

Commitment to Conservation

Plum Creek regularly works with public and private organizations to conserve land for visual, historical and recreational value or wildlife habitat. Plum Creek has helped conserve more than 23,000 acres in Arkansas and has committed more than 1.5 million acres to conservation outcomes nationwide.

Wildlife Habitat

At Plum Creek, we take pride in protecting and enhancing habitat on our lands for threatened and endangered species. We develop long-term Habitat Conservation Plans (HCPs) to protect multiple wildlife species and their habitats while ensuring the economic benefits of the forest.

We support the communities where we live?and work. In 2014, the Plum Creek Foundation provided $29,500 in financial support to various organizations? in Arkansas.
