Robert E. Grant

Rob Grant has a general civil trial practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia, with a focus on fiduciary litigation, including matters relating to estates, trusts and contested guardianships. Rob has tried to verdict cases involving will challenges, valuation of estate assets, the interpretation and construction of wills and trust instruments, and tort claims relating to inter vivos transfers of assets. Rob also advises both fiduciaries and beneficiaries in matters relating to the conduct, duties and proper compensation of fiduciaries.

In addition, Rob frequently handles contested guardianship cases, particularly where substantial assets require management. He has lectured on topics in estate- and trust-related litigation. In addition to his fiduciary litigation practice, Rob counsels clients on and litigates issues regarding commercial transactions, employment, covenants not to compete, and corporate governance.

Rob currently serves as the firm's Managing Partner.

Immediately following law school, Rob served as Law Clerk to the Honorable J. James McKenna of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland.
