Robert Weih

Professor Weih’s research is directed to the application and development of geospatial models and methods for natural resources and environmental phenomena. One longstanding focus has been on accessing errors in spatial datasets and a second focus has been modeling biomass using remote sensing at different landscape scales. The results of his research have been published widely and presented at varies national and international meetings. He has an active continue education program, in which he has taught more than 100-multiday workshops over the last 10 years in the geosciences. He also teaches numerous classes undergraduate and graduate courses in the geosciences. Professionally, he is on the Executive Committee of the Arkansas GIS User Forum, on the Central Region Board of Directors for the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, and Arkansas Board of Registration for Foresters. He is also very active in the Boy Scouts of America.
