Sarah B. Faust

Sarah Faust is a partner in the environmental, administrative and public law department. Ms. Faust specializes in water and environmental law, representing governmental entities, corporations and individuals in permitting, rulemaking, and compliance with state and federal law. Ms. Faust has significant experience in groundwater rights and management, endangered species, water quality, and land use and development issues. Ms. Faust litigates in state and federal court, as well as contested case hearings before state agencies. Prior to a judicial clerkship with the Fourth Court of Appeals in San Antonio, Ms. Faust studied international environmental law at Sydney University Law School, in Sydney, Australia. Since 2004 Ms. Faust has practiced environmental and water law in her hometown of Austin.

Professional & Civic Involvement

Ms. Faust is Vice Chair of the City of Austin Water and Wastewater Commission and sits on the Balcones Canyonlands Conservation Plan Citizen Advisory Committee. She also serves on the Save Barton Creek Association Board of Trustees (2012 President), and is a graduate of the Leadership Austin Essential Class of 2012.
